Sizing HyperScale X Storage Pools
HyperScale X Appliance does not have an upper limit on the number of nodes or capacity.
However storage pools greater than 5PB may require additional tuning and/or configuration. Contact your Commvault representative for assistance on planning for deployments larger than 5PB.
Capacity Planning
As a general practice, it is a good practice to start planning for the expansion of HyperScale X storage pools by adding additional nodes, when the storage capacity on the existing nodes reaches 75%.
Additionally, start planning for the storage pool expansion, at least 6 months prior to the full capacity forecast, to provide sufficient buffer for hardware delivery and setup.
