You can perform an IntelliSnap full backup operation of MongoDB databases in both replica set and sharded cluster MongoDB deployments.
Note
-
If you have a single node replica set that has only a primary node, add the bMongoDBEnableBkpForSingleNodeRepSet additional setting to the client node that you want to back up.
-
Commvault does not back up mount points from subdirectories that are under the dbPath. To protect the mount point on the subdirectory that is under the dbPath, create a symbolic link pointing to the mount point.
Before You Begin
If you are backing up the MongoDB server on a Linux computer, verify that the server is started with the absolute path to the configuration file.
Procedure
-
From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > client> Big Data Apps >instance.
-
Right-click the subclient, and then click Backup.
The Backup Options dialog box appears.
-
Select the backup type and the job initiation:
-
In the Select Backup Type area, select Full.
-
In the Job Initiation section, specify when to run the backup operation:
-
To run the job immediately, select Immediate.
-
To schedule the job, select Schedule, and then configure the schedule.
For information about configuring a backup schedule, see Schedule Backups.
-
-
-
Click OK.
Note
When you have a new secondary node added to a single node replica set that has only a primary node, run a new full backup.
