Modifying the Properties of a Deduplication Settings on a Storage Policy Copy

If you have set up a global deduplication policy for your environment, you can change the global deduplication property values for the storage policy copy.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Policies > Storage Policy > storage_policy.

2. Right-click the appropriate storage policy copy associated with the global deduplication policy and then click Properties.

3. In the Copy Properties dialog box, click the Deduplication tab to modify the advanced deduplication options, such as:

   • Temporarily disabling deduplication for diagnostics and maintenance purposes

   • Sending only unique data to the destination copy by using Deduplication Accelerate Streaming Hash (DASH) Copy

4. Click OK.
