Creating a Storage Policy with Global Storage

You can create a storage policy and assign it to a storage pool with global storage to use the data paths of a global storage policy.

You can create a storage policy by using the Create a Storage Policy wizard.

Before You Begin

  • Assign the storage pool with global storage at the time of storage policy or copy creation.

Once assigned, you can neither change nor disable the storage pool.

  • You cannot modify existing storage policy copies for global storage.

  • No two storage policy copies in a storage policy can be associated with the same storage pool.
