Configuring Storage for Disk Caching to a Cloud Library

You can configure storage for disk caching to a cloud library. Disk caching for frequent log backups utilizes a mount point which can be mounted for caching. Since a direct mount is not possible for a cloud library, you can specify a local metadata cache location for caching. The cloud library will be used for the commit operation.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, click Storage > Cloud.

    The Cloud page appears.

  2. Click the cloud storage.

    The cloud storage page appears.

  3. On the Configuration tab, in the Cache area, click the Enable toggle.

The Configure cache path dialog appears.

  4. From the MediaAgent list, select the MediaAgent that has access to the cloud library.

  5. For Type, specify the access type, and then in the Path box type the path location for caching.

If you choose the Network option, the path must be accessible from the MediaAgent you previously selected.

  6. Click Save.
