To verify that the NAS file server is set up correctly, perform a test backup and restore.
Back Up the File Server

From the navigation pane, go to Protect > File Servers.
The File servers page appears.

In the row for the file server, click the action button , and then click Back up.
The Backup dialog box appears.

Click the subclient that you created, and then click Select.
The Select backup level dialog box appears.

Click Full, and then click OK.
Restore the File Server

From the navigation pane, go to Protect > File Servers.
The File servers page appears.

In the row for the file server, click the action button , and then click Restore.
The Backup content page appears.

Select the content, and then click Restore.
The Restore options dialog box appears.

From the Destination list, select the computer to restore the data to.

Click Submit.
